Post G'Day from Down Under
Hi all. I regularly watch Ed Freidland's YouTube product demonstrations, where I was recently introduced to Feerless cabs. Once the currency exchange rate improves I'll be placing an order for my own f112. I'm not sure what amp I'll use - many (like Genz-Benz & TecAmp) are not readily available in Australia.

Ian - currently playing Warwick Infinity & Pro Series Corvette 5s

Ian, the brand of amp itself isn't as important as getting something that has real power, I feel. That allows one to leverage more of the potential of the enclosure. Of course you want a preamp section that sounds nice too, but that's often more to do with how one twiddles the knobs or doesn't, and bass setup too. So from what is available there you should be able to find a potent head or separates that will make you very happy, hopefully.

+2

Enough ass in the power section allows clean headroom in the pre section = sustain + balls. And instrument setup/string selection matching the player is highly under appreciated as an element of great tone and responsiveness. I bet more than half the basses played in bars bands this weekend across the world have little to no adjustment past intonation since delivery from the factory. You can tell by the fact that the skinniest strings rarely match the output/presence of the fat ones = almost always a lost country.

Thanks for your input guys. I'm playing in an 18 piece jazz/dance band and have never needed to dial up more than Vol 4 on my 150W combo. It's quality rather than volume I'm chasing, so I've taken delivery of a TecAmp Puma 500 and am (impatiently) awaiting delivery of my Fearless f112.

That sounds like a killer combo! Enjoy :-)

Does anybody have a fearless 110H for sale, in Australia preferably? The current exchange rate makes importing a new one cost prohibitive. I'd consider a 112H also.
