Post Hello from Ireland
Hi, I’m looking to build a 12/6. Have started some research but I will continue with my research now that I’m in here.
I’ve been using no amp for the last year live, using just the two notes le bass preamp. I got rid of my ebs rig to go ampless but now I need me some cab! Not sure what Head I will be using. I have been looking at the Ampeg PFT50.
I’m looking to build bit by bit, starting with cabinet. I’ve looked into ordering kit but with shipping it’s too expensive so I will try and source in Europe. Thanks! :D

Welcome!

If you build using the free plans please consider a modest donation to keep the web site going.

Thanks

Hi, yes I definitely will. My only problem is I’m finding it tricky to figure out the best way to build this, with what’s available this side of the pond. Was thinking of building the cab first, as I can get the timbre but I can’t get the pl glue too easy. Are there any alternatives? Was going to worry about crossovers later but no sure if I can install crossover to a finished cab.

THIS MIGHT HELP

Also - most folks do the xover last - on top of the port shelf - check out some of the build threads...

Hey, thanks! I’ve been reading lots here! My main problem is finding the correct pl glue without ordering from USA. The alternative glue doesn’t seem to be available anymore. Any of the older builds glue doesn’t seem to be available. I’m sure there is something similar. I emailed Loctite over here to see if they have it here or something similar. I don’t really understand the specs to randomly pick an alternative. I’m itching to get the birch and start.

Great they sent me details of an alternative that they use. I’ll get ordering soon!
If anyone wants to know glue just let me know.
