Post Saying hello
I guess I'm required to make a post or my account will be deleted.

I wanted to see what all the good noise is all about the fearful cabs.
Thinking of cobbling one together.
I don't play out anymore so a 12" driver for living room volume for my deaf ears.

I'll say I have built the BFM J12 full array and I like it, alot
As many know these cabinet building adventures are addicting !
I've seen some of the plans that are offered here and they look like a fun build.

? I don't yet know the difference between the "free plan" model cabs and the authorized built cabinets, forgive me if I mix then up

To be perfectly honest I could never bring myself to spend a ton of cash on a high end cabinet, so DIY is a way I can end up stockpiling the parts over time to end up with a decent sound cab.
40years ago it was 8-10 cutting through to be heard, then Nice Sounding amp/cab only to have sound man muck around too much. then ending up with what I would consider, a high priced "stage monitor". Now it's all IEM.

QSC power amps and Sansamp RBI Yamaha PB1 couple o fender P-Basses with flats and I can get the sound "I" like, through almost any halfway decent cabinet (for home use).
Do I need another cab ? nope.
But being bitten by the DIY bug has led me here.

Welcome!

If you build using the free plans please consider a modest donation to keep the web site going.

Thanks
